Who Are We? ERB!
The Extraordinary Rendition Band (ERB) was founded in 2008 as a proudly diverse group of activist musicians based in Providence, Rhode Island. We specialize in creating spontaneous moments of raucous musical joy. Our eclectic repertoire combines beauty, noise, and heart in equal parts. ERB appears in the streets and in public spaces at scheduled performances, protests, and benefits—but we also show up when you least expect us. We love to make you dance, and we invite everyone within earshot to join in the general experience of awesomeness.

Extraordinary Rendition Band operates as a collective.
ERB welcomes musicians from all backgrounds and all levels to join us — and dancers and flag-wavers, too! We value silliness, gratuitous antics and fun for its own sake as much as musical skill. We ask all members to keep learning, and support each other’s growth in musicianship. Each member is accountable for attending practices, gigs, and contributing musically toward the joyous energy we create for ourselves and our audiences alike!
